Inevitable

Entrench is a Thrash Metal band from Västerås, Sweden.
After releasing 5 Demo's from 2006 till 2009, they finally released their debut album 'Inevitable Decay' on September 20, 2011.

The Bad Plus tenth studio recording (and first collection of original material since 2012's "Made Possible"), "Inevitable Western" continues the leaderless trio's committed belief in what they've dubbed avant-garde populism' the idea that serious music can be as engaging and accessible as it is forward-thinking and provocative.

In the late 1970s and 1980s, Jeremy Lewis established and ran Liverpool’s Inevitable Records, and in doing so provided what he calls an “incubator” for an impressive selection of the talent emerging from the city at that time. From PETE BURNS and DEAD OR ALIVE to CHINA CRISIS, WAH! HEAT and others, Inevitable provided the launchpad for many successful careers. Operating initially out of Lewis’ Amazon Studios, and mutating as the years passed from an outlet for the city’s spiky post-punk sounds to a synth-pop, commercially minded imprint with major label backing, Inevitable proved popular with JOHN PEEL and found admirers from across the ‘80s musical spectrum.

The Bad Plus - bassist Reid Anderson, pianist Ethan Iverson, and drummer David King - have a well-earned reputation for pushing the limits on what is expected of a piano-bass-drums trio. The past 15 years have seen the genre-smashing band create a distinctive and original repertoire of inventive and exciting original music, along with iconoclastic covers of artists as divergent as Nirvana and Neil Young, Aphex Twin and Ornette Coleman.

These two Canarian musicians present for the very first time as an act together their disc titled Inevitable at this twentysecond edition of the festival - FICJ&MH; the result of long periods of time both artists have spent residing & working in the USA.
