Ekseption is a Dutch band that was famous during the late sixties/early seventies for the way it combined themes from classical composers with contemporary rock and jazz in a blend of dominating, virtuoso keys and trumpet plus sax(es).
The band came as close as any group from the European continent ever did to stealing the thunder of early classical rock outfits such as the Nice and rivaling the early work of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. In Holland, they charted singles based on classical compositions and released successful concept albums, and were - along with Focus - the top progressive rock band in the Dutch-speaking world.

Hot on the heels of the release of their 10th studio album “Atomic Generation,” UK’s finest melodic rock band FM kicked off their tour in support of the album with a typically stunning performance at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan, Italy in April 2018. FM offered up a set which included fan favorites and classic cuts taken from the band’s first two records, brand new additions to the setlist taken from their last two albums “Heroes and Villains” and “Atomic Generation" and some surprises, such as “Let Love Be The Leader, a single originally released in 1987. The band’s performance was simply faultless and breathtaking. The rhythm section of Pete Jupp and Merv Goldsworthy didn’t miss a beat while Jem Davis provided rich sonic tapestries with his keyboards. Jim Kirkpatrick was absolutely amazing on guitar while Mr. Steve Overland offered more than earned the “Voice Of Rock” tag with his performance. An absolute gem of an album, unmissable for FM and Melodic Rock fans in general!

The Later Years is a box set by British rock band Pink Floyd released on 13 December 2019 by Pink Floyd Records. It follows the boxset The Early Years 1965–1972 (2016), and concentrates on Pink Floyd's work under the leadership of David Gilmour after the departure of founding member Roger Waters. A newly remastered, richly documented set celebrating the art of a Spanish Beethoven specialist recorded at the peak of his powers in the late 1950s. Born in Zaragoza in 1905, Eduardo del Pueyo left Spain in 1920 to enter the Paris Conservatoire, but rejected the teaching of Marguerite Long outright. In thrall to Beethoven's genius in particular, he chose instead to become, as it were, a great-grand pupil of Franz Liszt through the example of Marie Jaëll, as passed down to Jeanne Bosch van's Gravemoer. In it's strength and sense of scale, Del Pueyo's playing as recorded here makes him a worthy inheritor of the Jaëll method. His playing is based on absolute respect for the musical text, shorn of false pathos but all the more sensitively expressive because the expressions flows from a lucid musical line.
