Viele der bekanntesten Melodien von Johann Sebastian Bach stammen aus den ausdruckstarken langsamen Sätzen seiner Konzerte, Suiten und Sonaten. Aus Anlass von "330 Jahre Bach" erscheint nun die Doppel-CD Bach Adagio. Sie lädt dazu ein, Ruhezonen im Alltag zu entdecken und sie zur Entschleunigung zu nutzen. Die reichen Klangwelten, die der Barock-Meister erschuf, animieren zum Träumen und Entspannen. Mit den renommierten Bach-Interpreten wie John Eliot Gardiner, András Schiff, Friedrich Gulda, Albrecht Mayer, Janine Jansen, Riccardo Chailly, Christopher Hogwood und vielen mehr.

Swedish clarinetist Martin Fröst is one of the world's top players, with a creamy, utterly consistent tone that is the envy of many a young player. It may be a surprise to see him take up Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, once again; he recorded it in the early 2000s with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, along with its usual partner on disc, the Clarinet Quintet in A major, K. 581. But there are several new things this time around.

Following the success of her discs of Romantic and Late Romantic repertoire, Vilde Frang has recorded Mozart’s Concertos Nos. 1 and 5 ‘Turkish’ and the Sinfonia Concertante K364, enabling music lovers to hear the Norwegian violinist perform Classical repertoire on disc for the first time. The impetus for this album was a 2012 orchestral tour of Asia conducted by Jonathan Cohen in which Vilde performed Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5. The vibrancy of their musical collaboration was something both artists were keen to repeat and commit to disc. Jonathan’s Cohen’s chamber orchestra, Arcangelo, proved the ideal partner, joined by violist Maxim Rysanov in the Sinfonia Concertante.
