Jeff Beck's three singles 'Tallyman', 'Love Is Blue' and 'Hi Ho Silver Lining' (First Stereo Mix) have been added as bonus track along with 'I've Been Drinking' (New Stereo Mix), 'You Shook Me' (Take One Mix), 'Rock My Plimsoul' (Stereo Mix), 'Beck's Bolero' (Mono Single Version with Backwards Guitar), 'Blues Deluxe' (Take 1 Mix) plus the gorgeous ballad 'I've Been Drinking' (B-side on 'Love Is Blue') which was omitted from the original album.

"Rough And Ready" is an important transitional album for Jeff Beck. Moving away from the amped-up blues of BECK-OLA and presaging the cutting-edge fusion of "Blow By Blow", "Rough And Ready" is a mixture of gutsy, funky R&B, slicing, distortion-heavy rock, and progressive, jazzy flourishes. The addition of keyboardist Max Middleton changes the sound of the Group, hinting at its future fusion experiments, yet vocalist Bob Tench keeps thing firmly grounded with his mainstream-styled blues-rock singing.

"Beck-Ola" is Jeff Beck's second album (and The Jeff Beck Group's first credited album) originally released in 1969. The album made it to the number 15 spot on the Billboard 200 and features covers "All Shook Up" and "Jailhouse Rock" as well as original material by the group. The album’s title puns on the name of the Rock-Ola jukebox company.

Originally released in 1972, "Jeff Beck Group" was the fourth and final studio album for the legendary group. The band fully exploits the wildly unique instrumentation of Beck, a classical-jazz oriented pianist in Max Middleton, the soul-groove of Clive Chaman on bass, Cozy Powell's steady drumming and the expressive vocals of Bob Tench. This innovative music was way ahead of its time. The album features some of the most inspired lead playing of Beck's career.

STUNNING 1972 PERFORMANCE BY THE SECOND JEFF BECK GROUP Following his two-year stint in the Yardbirds, Jeff Beck recorded the pop single Hi Ho Silver Lining for Mickie Most, then formed the first Jeff Beck Group featuring Rod Steward on vocals, and Ronnie Wood on guitar. The group produced two albums, Truth (August 1968) and Beck-Ola (July 1969). Resentment in the group, coupled with touring incidents, led the band to dissolve in July 1969. Following the death of Brian Jones, Beck was approached about joining the Rolling Stones. In 1970, Beck set about forming a band with drummer Cozy Powell.
