The Jeff Lorber Fusion is the debut album by keyboardist Jeff Lorber as leader of his band "The Jeff Lorber Fusion". Instrumental light jazz set that introduced Lorber as a leader and also featured contributions from a then unknown vocalist who went on to achieve Urban Contemporary success in her own right–Karyn White.

Jeff Lorber teams up with jazz vocalist/songwriter, Carol Duboc just two years after winning the Grammy for Best Instrumental album. Duboc's 9th solo album entitled, "Restless," is produced and co-written by Lorber. The album also features legendary flutist, Hubert Laws, guitarist, Paul Jackson Jr. and drummer Gary Novak. Many critics agree this is her best album to date!

Released in 1980, Wizard Island is the fourth album by keyboardist Jeff Lorber as leader of his band "The Jeff Lorber Fusion". The album was Lorber's first to reach number one on the US Jazz Album chart.

The fourth consecutive collaboration between GRAMMY®-nominated keyboardist/composer/producer Jeff Lorber and GRAMMY®-winning bassist/composer/ producer Jimmy Haslip since the two virtuosos reactivated Jeff Lorber Fusion five years ago, Step It Up features 11 new Lorber compositions, several co-written with Haslip. The longtime colleagues also co-produced the recording.

GRAMMY Award-winning keyboardist/composer/producer Jeff Lorber recalls seeing guitarist Mike Stern during his much-ballyhooed tenure with Miles Davis in the early ‘80s. “I’ve been a fan of his for a long time,” said the keyboardist, who was touring hard in support of his hit records Wizard Island and It’s a Fact in those analog days. “Jeff Lorber Fusion and Miles Davis were playing some of the same festivals back then, so I got to hear him play.” For his part, Stern offered, “To be honest, I was aware of him, and had heard a bunch of good things, but I had never really checked him out. We were just in different orbits, me and Jeff.”

Soft Space is the second album by Keyboardist Jeff Lorber as leader of his band The Jeff Lorber Fusion. Released in 1978, this album featured special guest artists, Chick Corea and Joe Farrell. This was the group's last effort for Inner City Records before moving on to Arista Records the following year.
