The "100 Years of Italian Opera" series released by Opera Rara is unique in the annals of opera recordings. However, this installment is especially exciting as it documents the evolution of Italian opera during the 1820's, the decade when romanticism truly began to come into its own on the operatic stage. Opera Rara has lovingly compiled a variety of arcana written by composers famous and forgotten. Included is everything from overtures to arias, duets, ensembles, and entire scenes.

The band Mabel Greer's Toyshop changed its name to "Yes" in 1968. The original founders re-established Mabel in 2013, releasing the album "New Way Of Life" featuring Billy Sherwood & Tony Kaye.
To celebrate the 70th birthday of Chris Squire on March 4, and the first appearance on BBC’s John Peel’s Night Ride, finally a CD release of the first pre-Yes recording collection called ‘Images’. Written by Chris Squire and Clive Bayley. The original ‘Beyond And Before’, and ‘Get Yourself Together’ (the first time Chris ever sang lead vocals) plus 3 more. The unforgettable bass style of 20 year old Chris Squire, the west coast guitar sounds of Peter Banks and the fuzz box/wah-wah pedals guitar of 18 year old Clive Bayley, along with early pre-Jon Anderson vocal harmonies make this CD a great collectors item.

Richard Hell and the Voidoids’ Blank Generation is an iconic album that has influenced countless rock bands with its image, its attitude, and its blistering performances. Released in 1977 on Sire Records, the album was received ecstatically by critics such as Lester Bangs and the New York Times’ Robert Palmer (who called it one of the ten best albums of the decade), but as was the case with most original “punk” albums, it wouldn’t get mainstream recognition for decades. Now its place in music history is secure as one of punk’s most significant records. Recently, Rolling Stone magazine lauded Blank Generation as one of the “40 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time,” giving the innovative and literate band its well deserved credit on the cusp of its 40th anniversary.
