John Legend Legend

Here is a band that is indeed ‘legendary’. It features Mickey Jupp, the singer, guitarist and piano player who pioneered British rock’n’roll in the early Sixties and remained true to the roots of the music. Hailing from Southend On Sea, ‘Juppy’ formed this version of Legend, in 1969.

Musical powerhouses John Legend & The Roots present Wake Up!, eleven profoundly evocative songs pulled from the soulful music of the 60′s and 70′s all with an underlying theme of awareness, engagement and consciousness. The album is highlighted with familiar tracks like “Little Ghetto Boy” by Donny Hathaway mixed with more obscure selections like Baby Huey and the Babysitters’ “Hard Times”. Wake Up! also includes one original composition, John Legend’s “Shine,” which is featured in the upcoming documentary Waiting For Superman.

Above the album worked the Columbia 'John Legend - Bigger Love ', and his release took place on 2020. The album has got songs with a total duration of more than an hour. A compilation is a compilation of original music.

It shall come as no surprise that the soundtrack to the documentary The U.S. vs. John Lennon – a film that traces Lennon's time as a political protestor and his subsequent, often covert, persecution by the U.S. government – showcases John the Protest Singer. It's a prominent part of John's legend, so much so that it would seem like there's a great number of these songs, but when it comes down to it, his political work doesn't amount to that much: a few singles and the double album Some Time in New York City, generally acknowledged as Lennon's lousiest record. Not a lot to build a soundtrack on, so The U.S. vs. John Lennon is fleshed out with some ideological tunes and songs about hope and love or about John himself – which ultimately means that this album has such old standbys as "Imagine," "Instant Karma," "Power to the People," "Working Class Hero," "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," and the Beatles' "The Ballad of John & Yoko" and a bunch of songs from Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, plus the posthumous "Nobody Told Me" and some stray songs from Some Time in New York City.

Composer, musician and vocalist, are a few of the titles that the multitalented John Fluker holds. He has backed folks like Beyoncé, Dionne Warwick, Mavis Staples, John Legend, Boyz II Men, etc. The list goes on and on. So to say that the man is a seasoned artist is putting it mildly.
