As the title of this package intimates, Winterland June 1977: The Complete Recordings (2009) contains a full run of shows at the San Fran-based Winterland Arena in early June 1977 – the 7th, 8th and 9th, to be exact. Listeners are treated to a trio of consecutive Grateful Dead performances, during one of their unquestionable zeniths as a live combo. The warts 'n' all presentation provides the further intimacy of hearing – in real-time – the crests and ebbs of each individual evening on its own or when sized up beside the other evenings. Boasting a whopping nine CDs – or ten if you count the bonus disc – there is ample opportunity to compare and contrast versions of Dead set staples.

"The Carnegie Hall Concert: June 18, 1971" was Carole King's first concert performance in front of an audience. Performed on June 18, 1971, it was released years later, in 1996, as an album. This album has seventeen live songs. Some songs included: "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?", "You've Got a Friend", "Child of Mine", "I Feel the Earth Move", "It's Too Late", "Beautiful", "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", "After All This Time", "Carry Your Load", "Song of Long Ago" and "Home Again". James Taylor, a friend of King, accompanied her on "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?", "Up on the Roof", and "You've Got a Friend". Before she started singing, an old saying went into her mind, "How did the man get to Carnegie Hall?" Out loud she said the answer "Practice man, practice!" Then she performed.

Following an assassination attempt in Kingston, Jamaica, in December 1976, Bob Marley and his band moved to London – in “exodus” from their home country – and recorded tracks for what became both the Exodus and Kaya albums. Marley’s Exodus, featuring the timeless tracks “Jamming,” “Three Little Birds,” “One Love/People Get Ready,” and the epic title song, came first, which led to early positive reviews, ten early dates around Western Europe and shows at the Rainbow Theatre in London’s Finsbury Park during release week. But an injury to Bob led to the abrupt cancellation of the rest of the Exodus tour, including expected U.S. breakthrough shows scheduled for late summer, leaving June 1-2-3-4 the final performances by the Wailers that year.
