Jus Allah White Nightmare

Melting is a re-titled reissue of Hypertension's Little Wing. The album isn't among Snowy White's best, but when he and his backing band White Flames inject some adventure into the blues-rock, adding some jazz or worldbeat flavorings, the entire thing becomes more compelling.

UK five CD set. White Lion originally formed in 1983 when Danish singer Mike Tramp moved to New York City and teamed up with guitarist Vito Bratta. Tramp and Bratta would make a strong and consistent writing team throughout White Lion's brief career. Releasing their debut Fight To Survive (CD One) independently in 1985, the band's fortunes really took off once they were snapped up by Atlantic Records to release second record Pride (CD Two) in June 1987.

‘On The Widow’s Walk’ is the new studio album from The White Buffalo, the touring / recording persona of Jake Smith – singer, songwriter, guitarist, teller of tales; the Emmy nominee whose voice, a timber-shakin’ baritone, seems fuelled by a greater truth. Of the half-dozen albums released under The White Buffalo banner, this latest 11-tracker – a loosely linked collection of dark thrills produced by Shooter Jennings, who also provides piano and keys – is the most collaborative and organic.

1999 was a pivotal year for the White Stripes. From recording their first album through rumors of the band’s demise and embarking on their first-ever tour, the band worked extremely hard and was fortunate to see small but incremental gains from their efforts. When the definitive swamp rocker Tony Joe White signed with Warner Bros. in 1971, it sure seemed like a good idea – while White seemed like an anomaly at Nashville's Monument Records, WB was a label with a reputation for nurturing creative mavericks with a taste for stylistic crossbreeding, and with his soulful, organic fusion of rock, blues, and country sounds, White was as individual as they came in the late '60s and early '70s.

Snowy White has an extensive and impressive CV, serving guitar duties with huge rock acts such as Thin Lizzy (Chinatown and Renegade albums), Pink Floyd (Animals & The Wall tours), Roger Waters, Joan Armatrading, Peter Green and Al Stewart amongst many others. Whilst still to be found touring with Pink Floyd & Roger Waters, Snowy also fronts his own bands 'The White Flames' and 'The Snowy White Blues Project' and has released a number of well received and commercially successful albums and even scored a hit single with the song Bird Of Paradise.
