"Shadow Dancing" is the 2nd studio album by English singer-songwriter Andy Gibb, released in June 1978 in the United States and September 1978 in the United Kingdom. It was Gibb's highest charting album in some countries including America and in Canada. This LP was his only album to chart in the UK. Four singles, including the three US Top 10 singles, were released from the album. "Shadow Dancing" contains four singles including the title track, written by Gibb and all three of his brothers, was released as a single in the US in April 1978 and in mid-June began a seven-week run at #1, achieving Platinum status. Two further Top 10 singles, "An Everlasting Love" (#5) and "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away" (#9), a song also released by his brothers in 1979, were extracted from the album, which became a million seller.

This one-disc run through Underworld's 20-year career serves a purpose, yet newcomers should know this prime techno act already has a couple of necessary albums (Dubnobasswithmyheadman and Second Toughest in the Infants), plus there's a companion release to this set (1992-2012) that features the "real" full-length versions of most of these cuts, although you do have to shell out for a second disc. On top of this all, folks intrigued by Underworld generally fall in love with them, so this gateway drug will likely become redundant.

After five years, THRESHOLD are back with a brand-new studio album, recorded & produced in Thin Ice Studios (DRAGONFORCE, PENDRAGON) by Karl Groom and Richard West with additional production at Eightspace Studio (LEAGUE OF LIGHTS, THE MORNING AFTER). Progressive as always but stronger than ever - it’s not for nothing that the opus is entitled “March Of Progress”! With a total running time of almost 70(!) minutes, it marks the longest but yet most diversified release of the band’s entire career. Enchanting melodies to die for, perfectly blended with just the right pitch of harshness and topped off with Damian Wilson’s heavenly vocals. Don’t be a stick-in-the-mud - join the “March Of Progress”!

This Chandos release is the second such prizewinners’ showcase from Yuli Turovsky’s Orford International Competition, the winners being invited to commit their respective concertos to disc with I Musici de Montreal. The result is an attractive coupling of three lesser-known works performed with freshness and enthusiasm. The programme makes a logical sequel to last year’s Glazunov/Arensky coupling, although the Glazunov will not be to everyone’s taste. The Yamaha piano is hard-edged and uneven in tone, and it is used by Herskowitz to hammer home the musical arguments in the grand manner.

The mid-'60s were a time of transition for Franki Valli and the Four Seasons. The teen market had put Valli on the map, but he knew that teenagers turn into adults, so he gradually shifted his focus from teen pop to a more mature and middle of the road (although still quite sugary) approach that incorporated influences ranging from Motown and the Beach Boys to the British Invasion. This new outlook would be reflected not only in his work with the Four Seasons, but also in the solo career he launched in 1965. Spanning 1964-1978, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 spotlights an edgier Valli than you'll generally find on Vol. 1.

"Living Eyes" is the Bee Gees' 16th original album (14th internationally), released in 1981. The Bee Gees turned away from the disco sound that was prominent on their work in the middle-to-late 1970s with this album. However, the album was not a commercial success, perhaps due to their being so strongly associated with disco. It sold 750,000 copies worldwide, compared to 16 million copies of their previous studio album, "Spirits Having Flown", in 1979. While it did not sell well in either the UK or the US, the album itself was a Top 40 hit in the majority of territories in which it saw wide release. It would be the band's final album on RSO Records. The label would be absorbed into Polydor and subsequently discontinued.
