During the rush of the 1980's rock scene, his catchy riffs, soaring guitar solos, and impassioned songwriting, elevated Dokken well above most other bands in the glam, Hair Metal, era. Over a dozen hit singles and a string of successful platinum albums, including Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack, have stood the test of time, and become part of the very fabric of musical culture.

Rooted heavily in the style of Thrash Metal that emerged from the San Francisco Bay Area during the eighties, material written by Nino Vukovic and their newfound guitar talent Fadi Ghanime started forming around 2004. Things started off slow due to problems surrounding members and rehearsal studios, but the band eventually managed booking their high school studio and recorded a self-produced album titled "Thrash, Kill 'n' Deströy".
