THE FLOWER KINGS - 25 years in the service of music. Started by prolific Swedish guitarist & singer Roine Stolt in 1994; NOW - again joined by long-time partners in stringed things & voices, Hasse Fröberg & Michael Stolt and Italian drummer Mirko DeMaio. Now about to release a brand-new studio album in September 2023. This album 'LOOK AT YOU NOW' - Nr: 16 - was inspired as much by the turbulent times we travel thru lately - as by the ancient goals of mankind to find peace and enlightenment and dwell in silence - in awe of the wonders that surrounds us. The blues is like the country of Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein, nestled in the Alps, between Austria and Switzerland, is a democratic monarchy. They have a king and a parliament, but voters are also empowered to directly enact legislation, making for a democracy. The blues is also a kind of democratic monarchy, with listeners able to select the artists they want to support and a layer of blues royalty, in the form of the three Kings: Albert, B.B., and Freddie. Putting competitive trumpeters Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Eldridge, and Clark Terry and an Oscar Peterson Trio with bassist Niels Pedersen and drummer Louis Bellson together before a live crowd at the Montreux Jazz Festival was a typically inspired idea by producer Norman Granz. The trumpeters bring out the best in each other on "There Is No Greater Love," "On the Alamo" and "Indiana," although Peterson does not let himself get upstaged during this exuberant jam session.

The initial musical connection between saxophonist Mark Turner and pianist Ethan Iverson was made in 1990s jam sessions in New York City. A decade after their first meeting, the saxophonist and pianist began an association in the Billy Hart Quartet, the two players featuring on two widely lauded ECM albums by that band. Now with Temporary Kings – their debut on record as a duo – Turner and Iverson explore aesthetic common ground that encompasses the cool-toned intricacies of the Lennie Tristano/Warne Marsh jazz school, as well as the heightened intimacy of modernist chamber music.

Whitesnake are an English hard rock band formed in London in 1978. The group was originally put together as the backing band for singer David Coverdale, who had recently left Deep Purple. Though the band quickly developed into their own entity, Coverdale is the only constant member throughout their history. Whitesnake enjoyed much success in the UK, Europe and Japan through their early years. Their albums Ready an' Willing, Come an' Get It and Saints & Sinners all reached the top ten on the UK Albums Chart.
