This album has everything a KISS album should have:hard rock anthems, fast-fingured guitar solos, explosive lyrics, heart-felt power balads and the fun spirit of KISS. If I were to recommend a KISS album to anyone it would be this one simply because its just a really fun album that has something for metal fans as well as ballad loving folks…

Although his vocalist/guitarist son John is getting all the attention lately, 82-year-old Bucky Pizzarelli is one of finest jazz guitarists in the business, and has worked with such people as Les Paul, Stephane Grappelli and Benny Goodman. He played with Doc Severinsen’s band on the Carson Show and had been a staffman for Dick Cavett in the 50s. He says his main influences are Django, George Van Eps and Freddie Green. His two uncles were professional musicians and got him started on his career. Two other of his children besides John are professional musicians - Mary is a classical guitarist, and Martin plays bass on one track of this CD.

Fans of hard rock had to wait some years for the follow-up, though. And after another long wait, they're back again with "Forgive & Forget". Band is back with a 3rd album in the same style as the previous ones, Aces High play hard rock in the same vein as MSG, Rainbow, etc. … The album - very solid hard rock. Vocalist Bjørn Andersen has a very distinct voice, somewhere between that of Ian Gillan and Biff Byford, the guitars are solid, with strong hooks that focus more on the song than riffing away into oblivion, whilst the hammond organ adds a Deep Purple vibe to many of the tracks … and once again lots of Richie Blackmore vibes in the guitar work.
