Niko Marks' Day Of Knowing full-length is out on Planet E February 10th.
Marks, a keyboardist, singer and producer from Detroit, got his start as a studio musician, and played alongside Mike Banks, Scott Weatherspoon and Raphael Merriweathers in the group Members Of The House. Over the years he's also worked with Eddie Fowlkes and Carlos Nilmmns—the latter appears on Days Of Knowing's title track, originally issued as a single on Planet E last year.

This book explores the notion of knowing-in-practice to unravel the formation of academic managers' knowing in a community university. It considers the unique socio-historical context and institutional intricacies, such as procedures, flows, and political and power structures. Knowing-in-practice implies that knowledge is dynamic, constantly in flux, and intricately linked to the capability for action within the social context. In essence, knowledge is emergent and anchored by its material context.

This provocative volume considers the theoretical, methodological, and ethnographic implications of the fact that medical knowledge is frequently dynamic, incoherent, and contradictory, and that and our understanding of it is necessarily incomplete and partial.

This book explores the manifold ways of knowing—and knowing about— preternatural beings such as demons, angels, fairies, and other spirits that inhabited and were believed to act in early modern European worlds. Its contributors examine how people across the social spectrum assayed the various types of spiritual entities that they believed dwelled invisibly but meaningfully in the spaces just beyond (and occasionally within) the limits of human perception. Collectively, the volume demonstrates that an awareness and understanding of the nature and capabilities of spirits—whether benevolent or malevolent—was fundamental to the knowledge-making practices that characterize the years between ca. 1500 and 1750. This is, therefore, a book about how epistemological and experiential knowledge of spirits persisted and evolved in concert with the wider intellectual changes of the early modern period, such as the Protestant Reformation, the Scientific Revolution, and the Enlightenment.
