Temple Drums is a multi-sampled hall percussion library recorded in a secret stone-walled underground chamber. We recorded a variety of solo drum and bell articulations from a close, wide mic position to capture a crisp, tight, bright and lush sound. The library includes bass drum, large floor tom, rack toms, bongos, snare drums, djembe, doumbeks, frame drum/bodhran, large Tibetan hand cymbals, Tibetan copper bell and 36” flat gong. The space has a crisp, bright and lush vibe and we recorded each instrument up close for maximum clarity and presence, with a wide stereo image.

One Kit Wonder: Pop Punk is characterful and fun, capturing the youthful essence of the high-budget glory days of the genre, combined with the full fidelity and impact of modern recordings. Overflowing with attitude, expect high energy tones all around with a spanking high snare, compact and toneful kick and toms, and bright, shimmering cymbals that wash in just the right way.

“Log Drums” or “Slit Drums” are hollow percussion instruments found in many aboriginal cultures around the world, particularly Africa and Southeast Asia. Typically made from wood, the instrument consists of a box or log with slits or tongues carved into it to produce notes when struck. Despite the name, the instrument is in fact an ideophone or “lamellaphone”, since the body of the instrument itself vibrates when struck.
