Ryszard Kramarski‘s new studio album, inspired by Homer‘s literary work "Odyssey", is soon to be out. The action of this epic story, however, has now been transported into a distant future, around the year 9999. Again it was Zdzislaw "The Bat" Zabierzewski who wrote all of the album lyrics, and the whole project was made real through the participation of many outstanding artists in it; those who are best known from the magic world of progressive sounds.
The songs are sung by: Ania Batko (Albion / Hipgnosis), Lukasz Galeziowski and Marek Smelkowski (ex-Millenium), and one special guest of honour - Stuart Nicholson of Galahad.
The musicians invited to this project are connected with popular progrock ensembles, such as Millenium, Framauro, Loonypark and Another Pink Floyd…
Millenium is back with a new concept album entitled "The Web". This is a new chapter in the history of the band, who closed the last era with the album MMXVIII. The album is again sung by the irreplaceable Łukasz Gall, who wrote all the lyrics and melodic vocal lines. All tracks have been recorded by 5-person line-up being the core of the Millenium band. The web is a symbolic trap into which each of us can fall. Addiction to gambling, drugs or alcohol can lead and often leads to depression, loneliness and suicidal thoughts. The cure for this evil is friendship and love of another person. "The Web" is just such a story in which each of us can be the main character, fighting for love, peace and happiness! How will this story end? Just listen!
MMXVIII is another release from Millenium, the experienced Krakow based neo-prog outfit who have released some dozen studio recordings since the turn of the century. This short album, like the instrumental compilation Notes Without Words is released as part of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Lynx Music. It also serves to introduce new vocalist, Marek Smelkowski, consisting of one new track, Unnamed, a new version of When I Fall from 2013 Ego album and the title track, if that is what it is, consisting of a 20-minute medley of tracks selected by Smelkowski. Which is, as the band put it, a way of linking the past to what is to come. An ambitious and confident statement from a band who have become increasingly confident and assured especially over the course of recent releases…
