Reel People Music breathes new life into its gleaming vault of back catalogue classics with brand new series Fusion Moves. The series will offer talented music-makers the opportunity to remix and reinterpret label releases of their choosing, kicking off with soulful progressive Kaidi Tatham in the hot seat.

‘Tru Thoughts 2022’ is the latest instalment from our annual compilation series. Curated by A&R, DJ and co-founder Robert Luis, the 32-track digital comp celebrates the best of the wide-ranging, diverse, and international roster. Selections span from Neo-Soul, Alternative Pop, Jazz and Contemporary Classical to Grime, Broken Beat, DnB and Electronica.

Atlantiquity is a remix project from Atlantic Records' vaults directly from the multi-tracks, produced by those known for their work in dance, electronica, and hip-hop, some with incredible results. Remixers include King Britt, Vikter Duplaix, DJ Nu-Mark, and even the Sa-Ra All-Stars do a cover with help from Me'Shell NdegeOcello.

Robert Luis is the founder, co-owner and A&R for Tru Thoughtshttp://www.tru-thoughts.co.uk the record label based in Brighton, England. He has worked with and introduced a whole host of acts into the musical world, signing Quantic, Bonobo, Belleruche and Alice Russell and releasing their debut albums, as well as signing the likes of Nostalgia 77, Werkha, Hidden Orchestra, Zed Bias, Moonchild, Anchorsong, Rhi, Rodney P, Wrongtom, Harleighblu, Flowdan, Lakuta and Hot 8 Brass Band.

With this CD, the young Canadian singer/pianist/arranger joins forces with producer Tommy LiPuma who places his orchestral stamp on eight of the 13 tracks. It is the latest attempt to push Krall to an even wider pop/smooth jazz audience than she already enjoys. After all, Nat Cole, Wes Montgomery, and George Benson, among others, went this route. Wonder if she'd agree the cuts sans strings were more fun and challenging? Krall does get to it with central help from bassists John Clayton and Ben Wolfe, drummers Jeff Hamilton and Lewis Nash, and guitarist Russell Malone, all stellar players. Krall's voice is sweet and sexy.
