Electric Island, Acoustic Sea is a studio album by Tak Matsumoto and Hawaiian multi-instrumentalist Daniel Ho, released on February 8, 2017. This is the first collaboration between the two Grammy Award-winning musicians and Tak's second such collaboration after 2010's TAKE YOUR PICK with American jazz legend Larry Carlton. The tour was supported by Tak Matsumoto & Daniel Ho Live! 2017 -Electric Island, Acoustic Sea- that held shows throughout Japan and had its final showing in Hawaii at Blue Note Hawaii.

Ms. Tak received her Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School, her Master of Music and Graduate Diploma from the New England Conservatory as a recipient of NECs Presidential Scholarship, and her Doctor of Musical Arts from The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Tak currently serves as an Associate Professor of Piano and Head of the Piano Area at the Crane School of Music of the State University of New York at Potsdam.
