13 de junio de 1930. Henri Guillaumet, piloto experimentado de la Aeropostal, no sabía que aquella mañana, al despegar, se dirigía al infierno. Atrapado por una violenta tormenta, su avión se estrelló en medio de las cumbres nevadas. Solo y con escasos víveres, decide esperar a sus compañeros, que seguramente no tardarán en localizarle. Pero tras 3 días de vanas esperanzas, decidió tomar las riendas de su destino e intentar llegar a Argentina.
