Bill Evans and Stan Getz are about as close as musicians can get in terms of artistry, musical philosophy and technique. These sessions, recorded in 1963 with drummer Elvin Jones and bassists Ron Carter (Side A) and Richard Davis (Side B), perfectly blend their strong individual styles and collaborative sensibilities—with both artists at the peak of their creative powers. Verve’s Acoustic Sounds Series features transfers from analog tapes and remastered 180-gram vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.

Bob Seale leads his band, Bob Seale and His New Happy Times Orchestra, with guitarist Gabor Szabo as featured soloist on this album. 7 tracks, 4 of which are over 5 minutes long, give plenty of room for not only Gabor, but also Tom Scott's saxophone and Bill Plummer's sitar. Tom Scott's saxophone and Bill Plummer's sitar are also given much play. The arrangements are by Sid Feller. Jazz, rock, psychedelic, and Indian music are all here, spreading the "now music" of the Summer of Love era.
