When Larry Williams picked up the banner so prematurely dropped by his Specialty label mate Little Richard in 1957, he became for a while the very personification of rock'n'roll. Frantic but always in control, wild but witty, crazy but cool, he had an unquenchable taste in bizarre women: short, fat, bony, dizzy or jelly bellied, Larry loved 'em all.

However, as I pointed out recently when comparing two recordings by Hans Hotter of Schubert’s Winterreise, a perceptive accompanist can make all the difference. In that instance, the perspicacious accompanist whose contribution to one of the two versions made it a clear winner, was Gerald Moore, the musician celebrated here.

Yiruma is well-known throughout the world, and his albums are sold all over Asia, as well as the United States and Europe. His most famous pieces are "River Flows in You", "Love Me" which appear on the album "First Love" (2001) and "Kiss the Rain" from the album "From The Yellow Room" (2003). Although he formerly held dual citizenship as a citizen of the United Kingdom and South Korea, in July 2006 he gave up his British citizenship and entered the Republic of Korea Navy to begin his military service, which is compulsory for all male South Koreans. He lived in Osaka, Japan, for 6 years to promote album sales before giving up his dual citizenship.

Pink Floyd was an English rock band formed in 1965. With her music and the visual design of her records and stage performances, she created a new style. The unusual name goes back to the blues musicians Pink(ney) Anderson and Floyd Council, who were still alive at the time the band was founded.
