Dover is a Spanish rock band from Madrid that sings in English in most of their songs. This is one of their best discs, if not the best…. Dover originated in the outskirts of Madrid at the beginning of the 1990s when the Llanos sisters decided to form a rock band encouraged by the alternative scene from Seattle. In 1994, the drummer Jesús Antúnez and the bass guitarist Álvaro Gómez joined in. One of the band's demo tapes reached the radio program Disco Grande on RNE Radio 3. The band then entered into a one-year contract with the small independent record label Everlasting-Caroline. Their debut album Sister in 1995 lacked promotion and sold poorly; however, the Spanish fanzine Mondo Sonoro included it among the 10 best national albums of the year. (wikipedia)

Guitarist, singer, and songwriter John Campbell had the potential of turning a whole new generation of people onto the blues in the 1990s, much the same way Stevie Ray Vaughan did in the '80s. His vocals were so powerful and his guitar playing so fiery, you couldn't help but stop what you were doing and pay attention to what you were hearing. But unfortunately, because of frail health and a rough European tour, he suffered a heart attack in his sleep on June 13, 1993, at the age of 41. "A "comeback" of sorts for Lizzy and the crew, and he hasn't missed a beat. His smooth-ranged voice hasn't lost a bit over the past ten-plus years, as there's a little Bruce Dickinson, some Seb Bach, and more. If not for the "shock" factor of his overall image and career, Lizzy could very well have filled the lead vocal slot for a number of metal bands over the past decade– Maiden and Skids included.
There is a solid late '80s/early '90s metal feel to the release, and the writing smacks with a certain non-chalant feel, ala Blackie Lawless and Dee Snider, perhaps. (metal-reviews.com)
