Laurent Layne

In 1971 two songs were released in Trinidad & Tobago that represented completely new directions in the musical and lyrical expression of Trinidad's place in the diaspora, Indian on one hand and African on the other. Nanny & Nana by Sundar Popo and Blow 'Way by Lancelot Layne were revolutionary and ground breaking and spawned two distinctly new genres in Trinidad & Tobago music – Chutney music in the case of Sundar Popo and Rapso, in Lance's case. Brother Resistance calls Lancelot Layne the father of Rapso music.

To celebrate Record Store Day 2020 (Saturday 18 April), Pink Floyd will release a live recording of the band's first single, and original singer and songwriter Syd Barrett's best-known song, 'Arnold Layne'. The limited-edition, one-sided Record Store Day 7'' vinyl represents the last live performance of Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright all together in 2007. This special performance of Arnold Layne took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007, with Pink Floyd members augmented by Jon Carin (Keyboards, vocals) and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar.

Brenda Layne is a singer-songwriter who composes in many styles, including jazz, rock, and pop. This is a collection of some of her jazzier tunes. She releases music as a solo artist, and also with her husband Tommy Osuna, as Ordinary Magic.

Kason Layne is a South Georgia based country band that has exploded on the music scene recently and is creating quite a buzz within the industry. Founded in 2004, the band, has played in hundreds of cities across the U.S. and have also performed for many Division I universities and schools across the nation.
