Westbound's remarkable catalog reissue campaign continues apace with yet another long-lost gem from the label's forgotten corners. Album was the sole full-length release by Detroit quintet Assemblage, and although the 1971 set kicks off with a cover of the Stones' "Satisfaction"—a seemingly obligatory move for bands during this time—this record is nonetheless full of surprises. While '70s Detroit was legendary for an incredibly fertile scene that blurred the lines between soul, funk, rock, and proto-punk and was home to a disproportionate number of iconic musicians, Assemblage were among quite a few acts and players that completely slipped under the radar. Featuring just one "notable" member in the form of future Bob Seger keyboardist Robyn Robins, the other four musicians hit their career peaks with Assemblage, which, considering that Album has been out of print and not reissued since its original release, indicates exactly how high that peak was.

Carl Czerny, a student of Beethoven whose music remained an inspiration occupied an important place in the musical landscape of his time as both performer and pedagogue. His own students, such as Liszt, transmitted his teaching principles which were available in a large number of ground-breaking exercises and études. Czerny wrote his 30 Études de mécanisme, Op. 849 (30 Studies of Technique) at a time of exceptionally high demand for teaching material. The Studies make use of a limited range of keys but are intended as an introduction for students to the School of Velocity. Perfectly placed between his simpler and more virtuosic Studies, Czernys Études have remained in demand to the present day.

Assemblage 23 is the musical brainchild of Seattle-based musician Tom Shear. Exploding onto the scene with the release of his albums Contempt and Failure, Assemblage 23 quickly became one of the most popular acts in the genre. Collection includes nine albums and two compilations.

With large tufted ears, a short tail and a trusting look, one could almost believe that lynxes are just big cats, when in fact they are wild and untamed. This is the story of a hard earned friendship between a ranger called Milos Majda at the Mala Fatra National Park in Slovakia and two small lynxes fresh from the zoo. It is hoped the lynxes will return to the wild. Milos and filmmaker Tomas Hulik follow the two-year journey of the lynx siblings from their warm nursery back into the wilderness.
