On FADING SOUNDS, composer Georges Raillard turns a creative eye towards the simple wonders of the world with a deep appreciation for the fleetingness of each moment. The aptly titled album presents 10 works for solo guitar, each of which take full advantage of the instrument’s tone and timbre. As the pieces conjure images and memories of landscapes, experiences, and thoughts, every cheerful chord, harmonic passage, and lyrical progression inevitably ends with a haunting resonance that leaves the ear wanting more. The compositions are dexterously played by guitarist David William Ross, whose gentle confidence on the instrument lets Raillard’s musical ideas ring out with clarity and precision.

Julia Ehninger, on and off stage, radiates a confident warmth and she is not afraid to express latent depths in performance. She wrote both the lyrics and music for her new CD Hidden Place released by BERTHOLD records in spring 2019. Accompanied by Jeroen Truyen on drums, Jonathan Hofmeister on piano and Nicolai Amrehn on double bass, her quartet has produced a subtle and thoughtful album, combining lightness of touch with masterful musicianship.

A Tribute To The Pirate Stations (1964-1974) "Golden Years of Pop Music" On April 21, 2010, it will be 50 years since Radio Veronica began broadcasting from a ship just outside the territorial waters. It ushered in the era of the 'pirate station' phenomenon. Radio Caroline, Radio London, Radio Northsea International and many others followed Veronica's initiative. On this 7-CD + DVD box, all the great radio hits from the most important years of pop history (1964-1974) are listed by Adje Bouman.
