Live Let Die

La-La Land Records, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, EON Productions and Universal Music Enterprises proudly commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1973 James Bond film LIVE AND LET DIE, with a remastered and expanded 2-CD re-issue of composer George Martin’s original motion picture score to the film, starring Roger Moore in his debut portrayal of 007 and directed by Guy Hamilton.

Live and Let Die is the soundtrack to the eighth James Bond film of the same name. It was scored by George Martin. The title song was written by Paul and Linda McCartney and performed by Paul McCartney and Wings. It was the first Bond film score not to involve John Barry. The digitally remastered CD re-release, 2003, as well as adding eight additional tracks also extended several of the original ones, such as Bond Meets Solitaire.

The "Live And Let Die" Soundtrack marked several musical firsts: it was the first James Bond soundtrack that did not involve John Barry, it was the first time a rock song was used as a Bond theme and it was Paul McCartney's first post-Beatles reunion with producer George Martin. The title track has become one of McCartney's biggest hit singles: "Live And Let Die" was nominated in 1974 for an Academy Award for Best Original Song, it sold over a million copies and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

This live concert film captures a post-Chinese Democracy era Guns N' Roses performing in late 2012 at The Joint in Las Vegas' Hard Rock Casino. GN'R namesake Axl Rose leads a revamped version of the band (including former Replacements member Tommy Stinson on bass and longtime Guns collaborator Dizzy Reed on keyboards) through almost three hours of material. The massive set list includes a number of classic tunes from Appetite for Destruction, several Chinese Democracy cuts, and covers of Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and the Who.
