Falar de um crescimento de Mallu Magalhães de um disco para o outro, no caso de seu Pitanga em 2011 para o novo Vem, não significa comentar apenas o amadurecimento que a artista passou no período, mas como sua música mostra-se maior em vários sentidos.

This is the CD reissue of the opening LP by Banda Black Rio, recorded in 1977. The instrumental band, dissolved in 1980, had an excellent work of electric samba-funk fusion, with hot brass arrangements, a good percussive section, and good solos. This first album brings the hit "Maria Fumaça," included in the homonymous soap opera. The album also has good performances of Luiz Gonzaga's "Baião," Edu Lobo's "Casa Forte," and Ary Barroso's "Na Baixa do Sapateiro," along with the band's originals.

The first AIDS-related casualty among the elite class of Brazilian rock & roll stars (Legiao Urbana's Renato Russo would be next, and arguably ultimately eclipse him in stature), Cazuza galvanized a nation with his dramatic public struggle against his deadly ailment, marking himself for pop martyrdom even before this career retrospective was released to validate his worthiness to it. Touching briefly upon his early days at the front of Rio de Janeiro's Barão Vermelho via the smash hit "Todo Amor que Houver Nessa Vida" (the band's signature tune, "Bete Balanco," is sadly ignored), this mostly live set quickly shifts focus toward his equally successful and much more eclectic solo flight.

Less than a year after the platinum success of "Vanessa da Mata sings Tom Jobim" in which the singer pays tribute to the great composer, Vanessa da Mata spear "Follow the Sound", their sixth studio disc.
The album also comes after the first literary experience of the singer who threw "The Daughter of Flowers" by Companhia das Letras, too last year. While finalizing the book and was leaving on tour with tribute to Jobim, Vanessa already working on new material.
