Let 'Em Eat Surf! is the 1989 album by British surf band Surfin' Lungs. This was released on a label from Switzerland called Surfin' Again.

2009 debut album from the hotly tipped UK outfit fonted by Florence Welch. Lungs, produced by Paul Epworth, James Ford and Steve Mackay, is an intoxicating mix of delicate fragility, dark humor and twisted Tim Burton style fairy-tales. From the live favourite 'You've Got The Love' to the raw Blues-tinged 'Girl With One Eye' to the beautifully painful 'Between Two Lungs', the album is crammed with crowd pleasers. Also boasting fresh tracks like new single 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)', 'Drumming' - with its epic denseness, the terrifyingly brilliant 'Howl' and 'Hurricane Drunk' with it's paradoxical charms of heartbreak, love and loss, Lungs promises to leave us wanting more of the insanely captivating Florence Welch.

‘As grand and mysterious as the Big Bang itself’ concluded Pitchfork when Florence Welch – aka Florence + The Machine – released her debut album 15 years ago, a year after attracting the attention of BBC Music Introducing. The BRIT Award-winning Lungs immediately announced Florence as an artist of huge courage, theatricality and vocal abilities – earning her a place on BBC Radio 1’s prestigious ‘Sound of …’ list.

Originally released on 3rd July 2009, Lungs was an immense debut, spending 89 weeks in the UK top 40. It was shortlisted for the 2009 Mercury Prize and won British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards in 2010. This 10th anniversary edition is a cloth bound deluxe box set featuring the original Lungs album on coloured vinyl, and an LP of bonus material, hand-picked by Florence Welch and never before available on vinyl. This material includes three previously unreleased demo tracks, a rare acoustic version of ‘My Boy Builds Coffins’, a cover of ‘Oh! Darling’ Live at Abbey Road and a number of B sides & rarities. Also included within the box are postcards and inserts, showcasing previously unseen images from the Lungs era.

Florence + The Machine joins Jules Buckley and his Orchestra for a 15 year anniversary celebration of ‘Lungs’ live at the Royal Albert Hall.

This is the repeated call and the rallying chorus of the nearly 40-minute centerpiece to composer and percussionist Asher Gamedze’s new album Constitution. The expansive double album, a minoritarian fellowship in breath, is Gamedze’s follow-up to 2023’s Turbulence and Pulse (IARC0057/M3H013), and his first with The Black Lungs, a ten-piece ensemble. The album – recorded in one day at Cape Town’s Sound and Motion Studios – is an elaboration of the possibilities of autonomous constitution in and through polyrhythmic, modal, large ensemble music.
