"Preppie" is the 5th studio album by American recording R&B artist Cheryl Lynn, released on November 4, 1983, by Columbia Records. Preppie includes the hit singles "Encore" (#1 R&B hit) and "This Time" (#49 R&B hit). It reached #8 on the R&B albums chart. The album was primarily produced by Lynn herself, with the exception of "Encore," which was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

"Under Cover" is the third solo album of Joe Lynn Turner, released in 1997. It mostly consists of covers of artists that had a great influence on Turner. On the Japanese version of the album, Gimme Some Lovin' and I'm Your Man are two separate tracks instead of one. "Under Cover 2" is the 5th solo album of Joe Lynn Turner released in 1999. Just like Under Cover, the album consists mainly of covers of Turner's favourite artists. Due to successful sales of the previous edition, the label asked him to record a follow-up. The Race Is On is a re-recorded version of a song that appeared on Turner's solo debut album, Rescue You.

Lynn Stokes & The Sol Surfers is a project consisting of Texas-based musician Lynn STOKES and SOL SURFERS, the latter a band assembled by Stokes in 2007 where the aim of the band is to play and record original compositions. Stokes is an experienced musician himself, and has been handling guitar duties in a number of bands and projects since the 70's; and in the last few years he's released a few solo albums as well. For the release of the 2008 production "Terra Nocturne" Stokes opted for the use of the moniker Lynn Stokes & Sol Surfers though; perhaps to make a distinction between his other solo productions and this work, as his solo albums explore rather different musical landscapes…
