Thirty years ago mathematical, as opposed to applied numerical, computation was difficult to perform and so relatively little used. Three threads changed that: the emergence of the personal computer; the discovery of fiber-optics and the consequent development of the modern internet; and the building of the Three “M’s” Maple, Mathematica and Matlab.

Talker is the 1999 album by American noise rockers U.S. Maple. This was the Chicago band's third album, its first for Drag City.

This book provides an introduction to the theory of dynamical systems with the aid of the Maple algebraic manipulation package. lt is written for both senior un­ dergraduates and first-year graduale students. The firsthalf of the book deals with continuous systems using ordinary differential equations (Chapters 1-12) and the second half is devoted to the study of discrete dynamical systems (Chapters 13-20). (The author has gone for breadth of coverage rather than fine detail and theorems with proof are kept at a minimum.) The material is not clouded by functional analytic and group theoretical definitions, and so is intelligible to readers with a general mathematical background. Some of the topics covered are scarcely cov­ ered elsewhere. Most of the material in Chapters 9-12, 16, 17, 19, and 20 is at postgraduale Ievel and has been influenced by the author's own research interests. It has been found that these chapters are especially useful as reference material for senior undergraduate project work. The book has a very hands-on approach and takes the reader from the basic theory right through to recently published research material.

The epic-20 track effort is titled Lover. It features five already released singles including the title track, Rome Fortune-collab ‘Buried’ and stripclub-approved ‘Sticks and Horses’ with GoldLink. The tracklist reveals a few more collabs to look forward to including Philly MC Grande Marshall. It’s been three years since the London-based, Australian singer fully entered our consciousness with her Vacant Space EP. If the singles are anything to go by, the rest of the album will be well worth the wait.

In the fall of 1975, Bob Dylan embarked on his "Rolling Thunder Revue" tour. It began modestly in New England, with Dylan, Joan Baez, Bob Neuwirth, Rambin' Jack Elliot and their bands hitting small halls in the northeast with only a day or two notice given to the public. Along the way it gathered outstanding critical acclaim and picked up the likes of Joni Mitchell and Roger McGuinn to fill out the bill. By the time it reached Toronto for shows on December 1st and 2nd ’75, the revue had gathered tremendous momentum and now was filling large arenas on a nightly basis. In Toronto they were booked into Maple Leaf Gardens. The shows were running between 4 and 5 hours and despite the impressive roster of performers, this was Bob Dylan's show and his 3 sets were the bedrock of the program.

The principal aim of this book is to introduce university level mathematics - both algebra and calculus. The text is suitable for first and second year students. It treats the material in depth, and thus can also be of interest to beginning graduate students.
