Five years, six discs, and though it is certainly a flawed document, it is still unlikely whether there will ever be a more complete accounting than this. Between 1982 and 1987, Marillion first established – and then confirmed – their place at the vanguard of the U.K. prog scene. Of course they maintained it thereafter, but the loss of frontman Fish saw them lose a certain madness as well; things became safer and calmer once he was gone, and if you need proof of that, then this is for you…

While the U.K.'s Marillion aren't the best-known rock band in the 21st century, they've influenced many acts that followed in their wake, directly or indirectly, from Porcupine Tree and Radiohead to the Pineapple Thief and Gazpacho. They are rightfully credited with having established the neo-prog subgenre, and have explored many types of music over the decades that, thanks to their expert musicianship, have celebrated their long, inventive passages for electric guitars and keyboards.

Founded in 1979, MARILLION from England are among the most well-known artists in the world. With frontman Fish, the band was able to establish itself as one of the most influential bands of neo-prog, a form of progressive that flourished in the 1980s. This 2 disc set in a beautiful digisleeve contains concert recordings from 1994 (Mexico City) and 1997 (Pittsburgh, USA), broadcast by radio stations.

Marillion will release the deluxe edition of Seasons End in a 3CD/Blu-ray package. Packed full of tonnes of bonus content, the album has had a fresh 2023 Stereo Remix by Mike Hunter, alongside a new documentary on the 3CD/Blu-Ray, liner notes by Rich Wilson, and brand-new artwork. Originally released in 1989, Seasons End was Marillion’s fifth studio album and first with Steve Hogarth fronting the band, following the departure of former frontman Fish. The album was co-produced by the band and Nick Davis, who also worked with the likes of Genesis, Mike + The Mechanics and more. It spawned three singles; Hooks In You, The Uninvited Guest and Easter which all went on to chart in the UK.

The Blu-ray contains the album in hi-res, jam sessions and early versions of the album tracks, a "This Strange Engine" documentary, a "Live In Utrecht" bootleg concert recording and promo videos from the time of the album's release.
