Mark Lanegan Gargoyle

Following career-best reviews for his tenth album Gargoyle, and a sold–out UK tour in late June, MARK LANEGAN BAND today announce the release of Still Life With Roses, a 6 track EP of remixes from the LP by various producers whose work he admires. The EP, released 29th September via Heavenly Recordings, will be available as 12” vinyl and download and comprises a brilliant array of remixes by the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Adrian Sherwood and Pye Corner Audio.

Heavenly Recordings are thrilled to announce the release of Gargoyle, the new album from MARK LANEGAN BAND, on 28th April 2017 via the label. The 10-track LP features guest appearances from long-time collaborators Josh Homme, Greg Dulli and Duke Garwood. Lead track ‘Nocturne’ is currently premiering on Stereogum and can be heard HERE. An extensive European tour has also been announced throughout the summer, beginning in the UK with the below June dates which include a Glastonbury festival appearance.

Over the last decade, Lanegan and Garwood have worked in tangent on 2013’s ‘Black Pudding’ as well as on Lanegan’s solo records (Garwood contributed to 2012’s ‘Blues Funeral’ and 2017’s ‘Gargoyle’ after which he toured as part of Lanegan’s band). This summer, the duo are set to release their second album ‘With Animals’ on Friday 24th August. ‘With Animals’, the twelve songs are spectral and sinewy, often defined by the spaces in between the sounds. A ghost’s whistle weaves itself around a pulsing single note on ‘Lonesome Infidel’; ‘Feast to Famine’s’ hard luck story floats above a guitar part so strung out and washed with distortion it’s become barely recognisable. It’s soul music for anyone who’s long since left the crossroads.

A full length remix album of Mark Lanegan's record Somebody's Knocking (2019). Remixed in its entirety by the British trio IYEARA: The Duke Spirit's guitarist Toby Butler, producer Malcolm Carson and vocalist Paul O'Keeffe. Last fall the band released CONSEQUENCES EP as well as a bunch of remixes for other artists. As for Mark Lanegan, this is the third album of remixes after A Thousand Miles of Midnight (Phantom Radio Remixes) and Still Life With Roses (Gargoyle Remixes).
