With the huge success recently of music from films, it's a great time for a compilation to round up the mega-hits that have come from, or been used in, films from the 60s onwards. For the first time on a compilation some of the biggest movie hits are brought together. Opening with the epic Whitney Houston blockbuster from ’The Bodyguard’, the first disc also features ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life’ from ‘Dirty Dancing’, ‘Happy’ from ‘Despicable Me 2’, and title track smashes from ‘Ghostbusters’, ‘9 to 5’ and ‘Footloose’. We’ve also included ABBA’s original version of ‘Mamma Mia’ and the fabulous ‘Grease Megamix’ which combines three huge tracks from ‘Grease’.

1The Grammy Nominees is a series of various artists compilation albums celebrating the best of the music industry. Albums are released before the airing of the annual Grammy Awards. All of the songs on the albums are Grammy nominated in the year released. The first one of these albums was released in 1995 and has been released every year since to date. Each one through the 2007 edition has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), while the 1996 and 2000 editions have also been certified Platinum.

Chanticleer Releases On a Clear Day (April 21), Collaborates with San Francisco Girls Chorus, Continues National Tour, & More This Spring. “One of the world’s best” – San Francisco Chronicle on Chanticleer. Leading vocal group Chanticleer expands its already vast, multiple Grammy-winning discography with On a Clear Day. Due for digital release by Platoon on April 21, the new album showcases premiere studio recordings of music commissioned by and arranged for the choir over the past two decades, together with other favorites. One of the featured works is by Chanticleer’s 2022-23 Composer-in-Residence, Ayanna Woods, whose next world premiere commission forms the centerpiece of the ensemble’s upcoming live collaboration with the San Francisco Girls Chorus (March 17–21).
