Wild World is the second studio album by British indie pop band Bastille, released on 9 September 2016. Wild World the follow-up to Bastille's debut album, Bad Blood, which has sold more than four million albums worldwide alongside 11 million singles. The new album retains the vivid, filmic songwriting of its predecessor, but pushes the GRAMMY®-nominated U.K. band s unique sound in new directions. Lyrically, too, it s a leap forward. At the heart of Wild World is a fascination with the human condition and the relationships we all forge, fight over and sometimes forget. It's a collection of 19 songs on the deluxe edition that sees Bastille at their boldest and most daring.
Silva Screen Records present earlier composers who were masters of music on Hitchcock films, and later films with Bernard Herrmann on the second CD. The "CONCERTO FOR ORCHESTRA" is Miklos Rozsa's haunting theme which lasts over nine minutes is something from heaven. "STRANGERS ON THE TRAIN" the Dimitri Tiomkin contribution is also an outstanding track which can move the unmoveable with the heart-racing pounding sounds that the two composers generate. Both composers Rozsa and Tiomkin have a list of accomplishments a mile long, but to hear their music on a Hitchcock film is pure geneious in film making and scoring.

Rising Auckland songwriter Sophie Mashlan has put her best foot forward with her keenly anticipated debut album Perfect Disaster, and is celebrating in style with a wide-ranging national tour kicking off tonight at Anthology Lounge. At nineteen years old the youthful artist has already attracted considerable acclaim from Aotearoa's folk music community, leading to support slots with such notables as California surfer / songwriter Donavon Frankenreiter on his 2018 New Zealand tour and Australia's Vance Joy. Mashlan's new album was recorded by Lyttelton legend Ben Edwards, who’s worked with local heroes Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding and Nadia Reid. The ten track collection is a lushly recorded showcase for Mashlan's emotive vocals and carefully crafted lyricism, with oft-delicate instrumentation walking a fine line between folk / country reverence and contemporary indie-pop.
