Falling in Love With Benny Goodman is part of RCA's mid-line Falling in Love With series, which focuses on romantic highlights from classic big-band, swing, and jazz artists. There aren't any risky choices on Goodman's volume, but that's fine, since each of the title's 16 cuts - including "Body and Soul," "The Man I Love," "Moonglow," "In a Sentimental Mood," "These Foolish Things Remind Me of You," and "The Glory of Love" - sustains a mellow, romantic mood. This record may not really be necessary, but for anyone looking for lovely, romantic music from Goodman, it's not a bad choice at all.

This average effort from Sonny Rollins and his regular sextet is most notable for two numbers ("For All We Know" and "I Should Care") that find Branford Marsalis joining Rollins in a quintet with pianist Tommy Flanagan. Unfortunately Marsalis makes the fatal error of trying to imitate Rollins (instead of playing in his own musical personality) and he gets slaughtered. Much better are Rollins's romps on "Tennessee Waltz" and "Falling in Love with Love."

Malene Winter Mortensen is a Danish singer. She made her entrance into the Danish music scene in 2001, during the first season of "Stjerne for en aften", the Danish edition of Star for a Night. She made it to the finals, with her rendition of Moloko's "Sing it back". The following year, she entered the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the Danish national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Emika will release her next album, Falling In Love With Sadness, this October. Ema Jolly's fifth full-length follows last year's Melanfonie, a crowdfunded LP made in collaboration with the 50-piece Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The new album, co-produced with Robert Witschakowski of The Exaltics, moves away from the "stripped-down qualities of albums [like] Dva and Drei." Instead, the ten-track record delves into "lush synth pop hooks" and electro, the press release notes.
