International best-selling singer, songwriter and musician, Melody Gardot, is back with her 4th studio album, "Currency of Man". The highly-anticipated "Currency of Man" is an intensely creative milestone, transcending musical distinctions of jazz, blues and R&B, to offer a stirring social and musical statement. On the new album, Melody joins forces again with Grammy Award-winning producer Larry Klein.

"The Absence" is the sultry third album from GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter, Melody Gardot. The recording was produced by Heitor Pereira, known for his work as a session guitarist (Seal, Sting) and a renowned film composer (Despicable Me, It’s Complicated, From Prada to Nada). The pair shares a passion for creating rich sonic innovations through the sounds of Western pop, blues, jazz and soul. Woven with intricate guitars, silky strings and flutes, the album incorporates influences from exotic locales like Morocco, Buenos Aires and Brazil.

With 2020's Sunset in the Blue singer Melody Gardot sinks into a dusky and languorously produced album that builds upon her love of jazz standards, Brazilian music, and intimate balladry. The record finds Gardot surrounded by a production dream team, including longtime associate Larry Klein, who helmed 2009's My One and Only Thrill and 2015's Currency of Man, as well as equally acclaimed studio pros, arranger Vince Mendoza and engineer Al Schmitt. Together, they have crafted a showcase for Gardot's delicately nuanced vocal style. The album is an interesting dichotomy, at once intimate as if Gardot is singing to you in a small club, yet also widescreen, framing her hushed vocals in sweeping orchestrations that reinforce the romantic drama at play in the songs. The opening original "If You Love Me Let Me Know," sounds like something Dinah Washington or Abbey Lincoln might sing, but filtered through the half-lidded scrim of Gardot's bedroom intimacy. Equally evocative moments follow, as on the yearning "You Won't Forget Me," in which Gardot balances a wry cabaret theatricality à la Marlene Dietrich with a tangible sadness that never feels anything but real. Elsewhere, she gently wades into a handful of earthy bossa nova songs, including a gorgeously attenuated reading of the Ella Fitzgerald number "C'est Magnifique" featuring Brazilian singer António Zambujo and a crackling take of Marco Paulo's "Ninguem, Ninguem" that she sings in Portuguese. We also get a movie theme-ready version of "From Paris with Love," as well as memorable takes on classics like "Moon River" and "I Fall in Love Too Easily." From beginning to end, Gardot's Sunset in the Blue holds you in its deeply rapturous glow.

In 2015, Melody Gardot proved with Currency of Man that she was able to step out of her comfort zone, because this album, which looked like her hair, clearly showed a soul'n'blues oriented facet.

The very first ‘Best Of’ collection, curated by Gardot herself, spans 14 years of her career includes 24 tracks that showcase the breadth of her musical abilities. Featuring selections from her six studio albums, remixes, live recordings, and previously unreleased tracks, highlights on the album include her multilingual performances, emotive renditions of classics like Elton John’s “Love Song,” and live recordings that convey the raw honesty of her concerts. Each track offers a glimpse into the diverse emotional landscapes Gardot can traverse, making “The Essential Melody Gardot” a rich and compelling portrait of an artist whose music speaks for itself.

Following the celebrated success of 2022’s Entre eux deux, where Gardot joined forces with French-born, composer and pianist Philippe Powell (son of Baden Powell) for her first-ever studio album in duo, the pair are back with Entre eux deux: The Paris Sessions, an EP of four handpicked songs from the album, set with brand-new luscious string arrangements.

Impulse!/Verve present “The Passion of Charlie Parker”, an album of iconic Parker songs transformed through the addition of lyrics to create a musical play that narrates Bird’s life. Produced by Larry Klein with lyrics by David Baerwald, the album features actor Jeffrey Wright in the role of Parker as narrator, with vocals provided by Wright, Gregory Porter, Madeleine Peyroux, Melody Gardot, Barbara Hannigan, Luciana Souza, Kurt Elling and Camille Bertault.
