Twenty First Century Jesus is the 1993 debut album by Ali Ghani and Mark Davies, who were known as Messiah. They released one album on Rick Rubin's american recordings subsidiary WHTE LBLS before moving to another label for their second and last project.

Machine Messiah is the band's first studio album in over three years, marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career. The band stated the concept of the album, saying, "The main inspiration around "Machine Messiah" is the robotization of our society nowadays. The concept of a God Machine who created humanity and now it seems that this cycle is closing itself, returning to the starting point. We came from machines and we are going back to where we came from. The messiah, when he returns, will be a robot, or an humanoid, our biomechanical savior".

is a crossover storyline running through the issues of (Vol. 2) and with cover dates of May through July 2009 as well as a one-shot titled published by Marvel Comics. Writer Craig Kyle describes it as being the follow up to and "the middle chapter of what I think will be a major three-part saga, which will continue to define and redefine the X-Universe moving forward". Marvel announced that the issues in the storyline is being collected into a hardcover volume, "Messiah War", to be published in September, 2009, thus: ; ; ; and . My compilation is based on this collection, with Cable #11-12 consisting of the story arc "Wasteland Blues", a subplot to the storyline. Even so, this compilation, and the storyline itself is by no means complete because will start a four-issue "Messiah War Aftermath" on July 22, 2009.
