“Metal Heart”, Accept’s sixth studio album, was their second major label release after 1983’s “Balls to The Wall”. Their 1985 record found the legendary and highly influential German heavy metal band go in a slightly more US radio-friendly than their previous releases, particularly on the single ‘Midnight Mover’.
This edition now includes the Japanese live mini-album “Kaizoku-Ban” in its entirety, recorded in Nagoya, Japan, on September 19, 1985 on the Japanese leg of the band’s Metal Heart world tour. “Kaizoku-Ban” features ‘Metal Heart’, ‘Screaming For A Love-Bite’ and ‘Up To The Limit’ from “Metal Heart” and ‘Head Over Heels’, ‘Love Child’ and ‘Living For Tonite’ from their previous long-player, “Balls to The Wall”. The album was their first to be produced by famed German producer Dieter Dirks, best known for his work with fellow Teutonic rockers, the Scorpions.

There is a certain charm to an album like this from a historical standpoint, particularly for anybody who still wanted a more flashy and fun style of metal/rock that cut against the "Alternative" ideal of dumbed down songwriting and morose or mundane lyrics about how much the world sucks, because this is about as clear of a rejection of the decade it was born from that one could find. It embodies the same sort of fantastical escapism that would occupy the early days of lighter, fantasy-oriented bands like Freedom Call and Edguy while also being a bit more retro in character, perhaps most closely dovetailing with the somewhat later reformation and restyled incarnation of Domain…

Grayceon was formed in 2005 by Max Doyle and Zack Farwell from Walken and Jackie Perez Gratz from Amber Asylum but is also involved with and has played with many bands. They played together and liked the result and decided to keep on going with it and wrote new material. They recorded a demo in 2006 which they sent to several record companies, finally to catch the attention of Vendlus Records through which they released their first s/t album in March 2007.
Grayceon offers something for everyone. Some post-rock textures, some sludge metal (but of a lighter flavor than others in this field), some good old crunchy riffs of metal, and great epics which are amplified in their effect by the magnificent use of the cello by Jackie and the vocal harmonies of Jackie and Max Doyle…

Electric Castle Live and Other Tales is a live album and DVD/Blu-ray by Arjen Anthony Lucassen's progressive rock/metal rock opera project Ayreon, that was released on March 27, 2020. It is a live version of the 1998 studio album Into the Electric Castle, performed as an actual rock opera, complete with mise-en-scène; it is a recording of one of four live performances between September 13 and 15, 2019 in Tilburg, to celebrate the original album's 20th anniversary in a way similar to The Theater Equation, with songs from other Lucassen projects performed once the songs from the albums were all performed…
