In the early Sixties, the Brazilian import called bossa nova swept through jazz. The music's most prominent composer was Antonio Carlos Jobim, and his score for the 1959 motion picture "Black Orpheus" was packed with songs adopted by jazz musicians. Vince Guaraldi was one of the earliest to grasp the possibilities of bossa nova and recorded four of the Black Orpheus pieces in this 1962 album. He also played two standards and two of his own compositions. One of those originals was a pleasantly rhythmic little melody called "Cast Your Fate To The Wind" which cut like a beam of sunshine through the pop music gloom of the day, beat the odds against quality music and illuminated the upper regions of the national sales charts for nearly half a year.

Young Paco (18 yo in 1965) is already a guitar phenomenon, a "fuera de serie", and he performs with vigor, technique and virtuosity, 134 guitar classics often backed by orchestra and percussions. Album released in 1991 in Spain by Polygram and reprinting of the original in 1971, when the great master and best performer of world flamenco guitar had even 24 years. It was the beginning. The CD incorporates, together with several popular and classical themes, some of his own creation.

Anne Dudley is scoring the upcoming comedy The Hustle. The film is directed by Chris Addison (Veep) and stars Rebel Wilson, Anne Hathaway, Alex Sharp, Tim Blake Nelson and Ingrid Oliver. The movie is a remake of 1988’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (scored by Miles Goodman) and revolves around a pair of scammers -one low-rent and the other high-class – competing to swindle a naive tech prodigy out of his fortune. Jac Schaeffer (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure) wrote the screenplay. Wilson is also producing the project with Roger Birnbaum (Rush Hour, The Magnificent Seven, While You Were Sleeping). The Hustle is set to be released in theaters nationwide on June 29, 2018 by MGM.
