Finally it’s happening, and the long awaited 5th studio release of Electric Moon appears to see the light!
4 tracks, which pack a punch and which went a long way to become what they are now. The oldest tune „Stardust (The Picture)“ was already recorded in 2014 and was released as instrumental version on 2 live albums so far. But it got refined with overdubs like vocals and stuff, like all the other tracks, too. This is one of the things which make the difference between live albums and studio albums, by the way; like also, that improvisation and songwriting get mixed-up!

Johnny Jewel has composed the original music for the upcoming indie drama Don’t Come Back from the Moon. The film marks the feature directorial debut of cinematographer Bruce Thierry Cheung (The Adderall Diaries, In Dubious Battle) and stars Jeffrey Wahlberg, Zackary Arthur, Alyssa Elle Steinacker, Cheyenne Haynes, James Franco and Rashida Jones. The movie revolves around a group of fathers in a small California desert town who abandon their children one by one leaving behind a wake of anger and crime as their sons and daughters come of age. Cheung also wrote the screenplay based on the 2005 novel by Dean Bakopoulos. Jay Davis and Lauren Hoekstra are producing the project. Jewel who is best known as a member of Glass Candy, Chromatics, Desire and Symmetry has previously scored films including Nicolas Winding-Refn’s Bronson and Ryan Gosling’s Lost River. Don’t Come Back from the Moon will premiere next month at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

RMFTM (Glenn Peeters, Jan-Titus Verkuijlen, Tony Lathouwers and Bram van Zuijlen.) is a Dutch art collective who approach music as avant-garde exploration. Following on from their recent split single with White Hills, RMFTM have been ceaselessly affirming themselves as figures of psychedelic re-invention amongst their contemporaries. The band co-curate Eindhoven Psych Lab and this year they’ll be performing in collaboration with Gnod to coincide with the release of the new album, appearing amongst a line-up that already boasts Parquet Courts, GOAT, Temples, Follakzoid and loads more. They’ve become known for their prolific live shows, one they’ve taken on several European tours, appearing on numerous psych festivals including Liverpool Psych Fest, Eindhoven Psych Lab, Desertfest Berlin and Cosmosis Festival.

Forever Gold is a 1999 compilation CD by American jazz great Duke Ellington. Released by St. Clair Entertainment Group, there is no information on the source of these recordings but they are songs which were made famous by Ellington and his band throughout their lives.
