The liner notes that Mick Wall wrote for Stone Deaf Forever are full of interesting anecdotes, but the most interesting of all has to do with a 1979 show that found Motörhead and the Damned appearing on the same bill. According to Lemmy Kilmister, a lot of bottles were thrown that night. Motörhead fans threw bottles at the Damned, and Damned fans threw bottles at Motörhead. These days, Motörhead and the Damned seem like a perfectly logical combination, but back in the late '70s, there was still a great deal of animosity between headbangers and punks. However, they became the best of friends in the '80s, and Motörhead deserve much of the credit for that alliance…

Clean Your Clock is the thirteenth and last live album by the band Motörhead, released on 10 June 2016. This was recorded during their European 40th Anniversary tour. It is compiled from two sold-out shows at the Zenith in Munich, Germany, on 20 and 21 November 2015 (both nights were filmed but only the first show was released)…

He was also, to top it all, the son of a vicar. Having been expelled from his former employers after a disagreement with border guards over the contents of his luggage, he took the name for his new band from the final song he'd written for Hawkwind…

Motörhead are a legendary British rock band, highly influential in the development of many different rock and metal subgenres (including Thrash Metal, where many bands cover their songs) who love Rock N' Roll but for some reason blurred the lines of Punk and Heavy Metal when actually playing it. This box set compiles the bands second through to sixth studio albums, as well as their first live album. The albums in question are 1979's Overkill & Bomber, as well as 1980′s Ace Of Spades, 1981's No Sleep 'Till Hammersmith, 1982's Iron Fist and finally 1983's Another Perfect Day. All these albums feature the classic line-up of Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor and 'Fast' Eddie Clarke, with the exception of Another Perfect Day on which Clarke is replaced on guitar by Thin Lizzy’s Brian Robertson.
