Vox is an Ann Arbor, MI-based early music ensemble that is performing a cappella Renaissance choral works in a part of the world where just recently they were hard to hear in person. Josquin and the Lost Generation is their debut recording. The disc contains an attractive and interesting program that does a fine job introducing audiences to the live stylistic issues of the early sixteenth century.

Melodic Death / Thrash Metal | VBR~240kbps | 81Mb

Regardless of the speed, DISARMONIA MUNDI always are damn precise and technically high standing, never losing the heaviness within the catchiness. Especially the guitar work has to be pointed out here, at the same time aggressive, melodic and technical, great!

DYNAMIC RADIO BROADCAST FROM 1970 A year after their stunning performance at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969, The Who were continuing to tour their extraordinary Tommy rock-opera, in an era before the project had become a stage play, or a movie which occurred in 1972 and 1975 respectively. The show presented on this CD features, for the first time, the band s performance at Tanglewood, in Lenox, MA, in the summer of 1970. Playing the entirety of Tommy alongside a couple of Who classics such as I Can t Explain , the recently released Heaven and Hell (albeit only as a b.side), and of course, My Generation in a 10-minute finale.

Not sure how I came to think this was a double cd of Bob and Joan dueting but I did. It is essentially the first album, both self titled, of Bob Dylan (1962) and Joan Baez (1960) with bonus tracks making a total of 33. No duets. This was the disappointment for me. However the inside liner notes were interesting, even with a couple of typos, and I came to appreciate the double album more. Of the two albums disc 2 featuring Joan Baez has worn the best but both albums are good and hold up well more than 50 years later. Just don't expect any duets or where the two appear on a single song together. There is of course Bob Dylan Live 1964 (Bootleg Series 6) where the two appear in concert for four songs. A promoter's dream not happening somehow….

"My Generation" is the debut studio album by the English rock band The Who, released on 3 December 1965 by Brunswick Records in the United Kingdom. In the United States, it was released by Decca Records as The Who Sings My Generation in April 1966, with a different cover and a slightly altered track listing. The album was made immediately after The Who got their first singles on the charts and according to the booklet in the Deluxe Edition, it was later dismissed by the band as something of a rush job that did not accurately represent their stage performance of the time. However, critics often rate it as one of the best rock albums of all time.

Mojo Magazine is a great newspaper, but the compulsion to repeat certain genuflections sometimes tends to get on the nerves, especially when it comes to Who (number 261 of August 2015), but which shines with quintessential Britishness. However, the umpteenth cover for the performers of the song referred to in the title brings with it this CD which, subtitled '15 Tracks Of '60s Beat-Filled Teenage Mod Angst' lines up a handful of groups (almost) never rose to fame, but who well represent the spirit of their times in a sort of minor Nuggets: all English, with one exception, give life to a fluctuating program in quality, but overall very entertaining to listen to. Given the period, the common denominators are still blues and rhythm 'n' blues, albeit reworked from different points of view, as the initial Don't Bring Me Down of the only big name on the bill, namely the Pretty Things, immediately makes clear. Even closer to overseas models is Bo Street Runner, an eponymous song for a group in which a young Mick Fleetwood was a member, then we move towards sounds with a greater dose of pop starting from the revival of It's Not True by the New Zealanders Larry's Rebels.

Girl 6 is the 1996 soundtrack to a Spike Lee joint. Lee was able to ask Prince to do the theme and contribute music, so it's a nice selection of the old and then-new.
