New Work

„New Work? Brauchen wir!“ hört man heute viele Entscheider*innen in Unternehmen sagen. Daraufhin werden Kickertische angeschafft und Obst „for free“ im Büro angeboten oder gar ganze Führungsebenen von heute auf morgen abgeschafft. Doch vielen Unternehmen ist bereits bewusst, dass diese Schritte nicht ausreichen, um Mitarbeiter*innen im Sinne von New Work zu motivieren, zu rekrutieren und an das Unternehmen zu binden.

New Work and Industry 4.0 have matured and this book takes a practical, experience-based approach to project management in these areas. It introduces methods and covers the practical aspects. It critically examines existing approaches and practices and shows their limitations. The book covers appropriate methods as well as human and social aspects. It contributes to the ongoing discussion of business practices and methods. It also aims to stimulate dialogue in the professional community.

The essential introduces the New Work idea, the core of which is to pursue work that one "really, really wants". This approach is updated with regard to the three areas of individual, organization and society. Special consideration is given to findings from positive psychology and strength-oriented organizational research. With reference to examples and scientific findings, innovative working time models, organizational forms and management practices are presented. Finally, New Work is discussed in the context of progressive social ideas such as basic income, breathing life courses and post-growth.

Die Experten zeigen zudem, dass die Integration in neu geschaffene Unternehmenskulturen nicht nur nötig, sondern vor allem möglich ist.
