"Panorama" is the third studio album by American new wave band the Cars, released in 1980. The record marked a change from the upbeat pop rock and hard rock of the group's previous albums, representing a more aggressive and experimental sound. It was not as commercially successful as the Cars' previous or subsequent albums (until 1987's Door to Door). However, it did hit #5 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. As a single off the album, the song "Touch and Go" peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Robert Plant's eleventh studio album, Carry Fire, produced by Plant in the west of England and Wales, melds unusual rhythms with naturalism. As with his 2014 album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, it features his band The Sensational Space Shifters. They are also joined here by special guests, including Chrissie Hynde. The album is "transfixing," exclaims NPR. "Plant and his collaborators create music that overflows with irrepressible life force … Carry Fire is rivetingly intimate."

Maryla Jonas, a Polish-born concert pianist, made her U.S. debut at Carnegie Hall in February, 1946. As a newcomer, she received favorable reviews, but the next month Olin Downes, reviewing a recital before a crowded house in the same hall, wrote in The New York Times that "she has few equals as an interpreter among the leading pianists of today." As a child prodigy, Jonas made her debut in Warsaw at the age of 9 and became a pupil of Ignacy Jan Paderewski. She won an International Chopin Prize in 1922 and the Beethoven Prize of Vienna the next year. She was in bombed-out Warsaw when it was captured by the Nazis, but escaped in 1940, a feat that was described later as "miraculous." Walking day and night, she traveled 325 miles to the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. From there, Jonas went to Rio de Janeiro, where her married sister, Mrs.

At the age of seventeen, he won First Prize at the prestigious Busoni Competition in Italy.
