Nomadland

From the beet fields of North Dakota to the wilderness campgrounds of California to an Amazon warehouse in Texas, people who once might have kicked back to enjoy their sunset years are hard at work. Underwater on mortgages or finding that Social Security comes up short, they’re hitting the road in astonishing numbers, forming a new community of nomads: RV and van-dwelling migrant laborers, or “workampers.”

Ils sont devenus des migrants en étrange pays, dans leur pays lui-même, l’Amérique dont le rêve a tourné au cauchemar…

Ludovico Einaudi has announced he will release Cinema, a new collection of his greatest works from film and television, including tracks from Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe winners Nomadland and The Father, on 4 June 2021.

This follow-up to the classic text of The Monstrous-Feminine analyses those contemporary films which explore social justice issues such as women's equality, violence against women, queer relationships, race and the plight of the planet and its multi-species.
