There's probably no other television show that's as potentially divisive as "Spartacus: Blood and Sand." Here's a series that pushes all sorts of boundaries that even decidedly adult-oriented programs like "Oz" and "The Sopranos" would have never dared approach even but a few short years ago. Not only is "Spartacus" awash in the ultra-violence of ancient Rome's gladiatorial arenas, but it's also home to blunt sexual dialogue, full-frontal male and female nudity, and plenty of steamy sex scenes that place the show in the same grouping as some of the more explicit soft-core pornographic…

The Eisner Award-winning comic series Sin City comes to life in this live-action feature adaptation from director Robert Rodriguez and creator Frank Miller. Interweaving multiple storylines from the series' history, this violent crime noir paints the picture of the ultimate town without pity through the eyes of its roughest characters. There's the street thug Marv (Mickey Rourke), whose desperate quest to find the killer of a prostitute named Goldie (Jaime King) will lead him to the foulest edges of town. Inhabiting many of those areas is Dwight (Clive Owen), a photographer in league with the sordid ladies of Sin City, headed by Gail (Rosario Dawson), who opens up a mess of trouble after tangling with a corrupt cop by the name of Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro). Finally, there's Hartigan (Bruce Willis), an ex-cop with a heart problem who's hell-bent on protecting a stripper named Nancy (Jessica Alba)…..

A girl arrives from London to visit her estranged relatives in a remote castle for the reading of her father's will. After a while she discovers that they are all in fact dead and her decision to live with them turns into a nightmare. Unable to leave she's drawn into a macabre underworld through visions of nude satanic rituals and her own impending sacrifice.

Along the way, the ladies must face a conniving and beautiful queen named Sartanika (Shauna O'Brien), who possesses a powerful secret weapon. Chuck Cirino directs and co-writes this sci-fi comedy.

Combining a sizzling crime drama with an action thriller for one of 1973's top hits, Shaw Studios united their new star, sultry 25 year old Taiwanese actress Chen Ping, with their first international kung fu hero, Lo Lieh ("King Boxer", aka "Five Fingers Of Death") to tell the searing story of Chu Ling–a rape victim out for revenge. She's infected with "Vietnam Rose", a form of VD brought to Hong Kong by American sailors, but also schooled in street fighting by her crippled boss.

Spanish cult director Jesus Franco has directed over a hundred thrillers and horror films, often with Lina Romay. Romay stars (under the pseudonym Lulu Laverne) in Franco's erotic crime comedy RED SILK. She and Christie Levin play a pair of aging female private eyes investigating a smuggling operation. When the two decide to try and profit from the operation instead of reporting it to the proper authorities, things turn bad, and kidnapping and murder ensues. They are now forced to use their wits and feminine wiles to stop the smugglers and turn the situation back to their own advantage. RED SILK has more comedy (intentional, anyway) than most Franco films, but still contains a helping of his trademark eroticism.
