These are the proceedings of the conference on Magnetic Coupling between the Interior and the Atmosphere of the Sun held December 2-5, 2008, which was planned to coincide with the centenary of the discovery of the Evershed effect at Kodaikanal in 1909.

The book is designed for students and professionals who specialize in energy technologies and power plant engineering. It covers the mathematics and physics of both current conversion, such as solar cells, fuel cells, MHD, thermoelectric, and thermionic power generation, but also discusses emerging conversion technologies such as solar thermal, nuclear fusion, and hydrogen energy.

In this book, we provide readers with the fundamentals of fluid flow problems. Specifically, Newtonian, non-Newtonian and nanofluids are discussed.
