1982 was a year of rapid change, both culturally and on the charts, and with too many essential 12”’s to all be included on one volume, Part 2 features a further 49 extended, full-length, or remixed versions across four CDs from some of the most innovative and popular artists of the era. This was the year when 12" singles became an essential part of a singles’ release, creating a unique experience for fans across all genres from Disco, through New Wave, New Romantic, and to the fresh synth-driven Pop of 1982.

The remix saga of Roxette started early on. We released the “Dance Passion” album which contained remixes of a few songs from our debut album “Pearls Of Passion” in 1987. To tell the truth, I never listened to D.P. that much. And I’m pretty sure Marie didn’t listen to it at all. No, that album wasn’t really our cup of tea. However, time went by and before long we found out about new amazing DJ’s, remixers and producers doing stunning stuff to original and great songs. We definitely wanted to be part of that journey! It’s very exciting to hear new interpretations of your own music, made by talented people coming in with new ideas from different angles. Now, after 35+ years, it’s time for the collected works. The Roxette Remixes. ROX RMX.

EAC Rip | FLAC (tracks, cue, log, scans) - 1.3 GB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps - 572 MB
3:58:28 | Psychedelic Rock | Label: Grapefruit

Three CD set. Follow-up to Grapefruit's hugely popular US 1967 anthology 'March Of The Flower Children'. Hit singles, cult classics and tracks from 1968's key albums as the American music scene moved on from the Summer of Love. While psychedelia had been the dominant musical force in 1967, the scene fragmented the following year. Although many acts remained immersed in garage-punk and psychedelic pop, a growing number of heavily-amplified, blues-based hard rock bands like Blue Cheer, Steppenwolf and Iron Butterfly - all of whom enjoyed sizeable hit singles in 1968 - emerged to pave the way for what would develop into heavy metal. Manufactured pop in the form of bubblegum dominated the singles chart, The Byrds and other easy riders developed a country/rock hybrid, a phalanx of folk-based singer/songwriters came to the fore, while Bob Dylan and his occasional playmates The Band pioneered a more organic, rustic sound that would come to be known as Americana.

‘Internal Exile’, Fish’s second solo album post-Marillion, originally released in 1991, has been remixed by Calum Malcolm for 2024. Working from the excellent original ’91 recordings, Calum Malcolm has reinvented ‘Internal Exile’ and it now stands a very strong and proud follow up to ‘Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors’. The songs were always independently powerful but now they have been brought together into a cohesive and energised collection that is balanced and flows as it was always intended to.
The deluxe 4CD + Blu-ray edition includes a hardback book with 100 pages, 13,000+ words of new notes by Fish, artwork by Mark Wilkinson, and photos. CD’s: remixed album, B-sides, demos, live versions. Blu-rays: Dolby Atmos/5.1 mixes, documentaries, promo videos, remastered concerts.
