Josquin was one of the greatest composers of his time, the author of sacred and secular music and works for court and city. The ensemble Theleme and Jean-Christophe Groffe offer a bold and original interpretation of some of Josquin's songs. Combining the language of the Renaissance with very different sounds - ondes Martenot, Fender Rhodes piano, Buchla synthesizer - they create a lively and astonishingly fertile dialogue, in keeping with the spirit of the composer.

Celebrated Montréal flutist Joanna Marsden explores the work of eighteenth century French composer Michel Pignolet de Montéclair on MONTÉCLAIR CONCERTS FOR BAROQUE FLUTE from Navona Records. The performances feature The Opus Project, a chamber music initiative founded by Marsden and Christophe Gauthier dedicated to revisiting early musical prints and manuscript sources in order to celebrate the unsung treasures of baroque chamber music.

This live album from pianist Chick Corea and banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck compiles material chosen from more than 55 shows, spanning seven years and packed with musical brilliance. Corea and Fleck pored over recordings from every single show and every take to unearth the best-of-the-best, "super-magic" renditions contained here. The track list includes songs from the duo's 2007 Grammy-nominated and Latin Grammy-winning albumThe Enchantment reworked with boundary-stretching improvisation, other Corea and Fleck classics, as well as choice new music added to the repertoire along the way. On "Two", the mutual respect and appreciation of each other’s music come to the fore.

The Pneumatic Transit consists of Jeffery Zampillo (Guitars, Mellotron, Ondes Martenot, Production); Michael Shell (Drums, Production); Carl Coan (Saxophones, Humor); Waz Fox (Rhodes, Moog); Willie Waldman (Trumpet, Flugelhorn) and Stephen Manns (Bass). Chordae Tendineae was recorded in various residential and commercial spaces from the Spring of 2017 to the Winter of 2019 with the use of a mobile recording unit comprising of gear manufactured by Focusrite and Warm Audio.

One of the first American early music ensembles to embrace period instruments, the award-winning Baroque group has constantly reinvented itself over its 30 year history by exploring new projects, collaborating with an ever-widening group of guest artists and forging new recording alliances.

"The topic of the album is first and foremost about traveling…" says Dhafer. "After traveling to the four corners of the world, in search of new sounds, here I sing differently and use vocal effects that I grew up with. Particularly the sound effect of megaphones for the call to prayer - hence the record title Street of Minarets." The rest of the guests took part in the magical journey too.
