Wall of Voodoo was an American new wave/post-punk group from Los Angeles best known for the 1983 hit "Mexican Radio". The band had a sound that was a fusion of synthesizer-based new wave music with the spaghetti Western soundtrack style of Ennio Morricone. It wasn't until the 1920s, after the migration to cities such as Chicago that the genre was christened the Blues, a term initiated by the record industry, designed to appeal to a black audience. The blues continues to evolve today and, like its original counterparts, gospel, jazz and R&B, it plays a leading role in popular music, the roots of which can be heard in our unique 25-track compilation.

Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Fortnite) scores the soundtrack to the original series Stargirl. The show is based on the DC characters created by Geoff Johns and stars Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Neil Jackson, Hunter Sansone, Joel McHale and Trae Romano.The drama tells the story of high-school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past and reimagines the classic superhero team the Justice Society of America. Nina Simone (The Word Nina, which means "little girl" in Spanish, is the nickname given to her by a boyfriend and Simone is borrowed from the actress Simone Signoret whom she saw in the film Casque d'or by Jacques Becker) is an American pianist, singer, songwriter and civil rights activist in the United States. Originally wishing to become a classical pianist, she eventually performed and radiated in various musical styles including jazz, blues, classical, soul, folk, R & B, gospel and pop.
